Welcome to Zion Lutheran Church. Our Mission is “Witness, Mercy, and Life Together” in Jesus Christ. Lutherans stand upon the Scriptures as the sole authority for doctrine and life. The Small Catechism is also a teaching tool that helps to shape and form our life to faithfully confess the Christian faith as taught by Scripture. To Learn more about the Small Catechism go to http://catechism.cph.org/en/about.html

Everything at Zion flows from and goes back to the Lord who serves us. Jesus Christ said, “the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). By His perfect life and death on the cross He accomplished forgiveness and salvation as redemption for all in a sinful world before the Father in heaven. By His empty tomb and ascension to heaven, there is victory over sin and death with life everlasting. Such hopefulness in the Gospel stands unshaken, “ For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,  not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Our Lord remains the Lord of service today through His holy Word and Sacraments. It is through these means that Jesus delivers His forgiveness and salvation and frees us to share in a service of “Witness, Mercy, and Life Together” to each other and to the world. Regardless of where you are in life, there is a place for you at Zion Lutheran Church. As a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) we walk with other churches to abide in the catholic/Christian, creedal, and confessional faith that is not ashamed of the Gospel. To learn more about the LCMS go to www.lcms.org/about/beliefs.

In praise and thanks to the Lord who first serves us with His greater service, we offer loving service to one another, our community, and to you. In a world of darkness and confusion it will not be our works, but Christ that renders the greater service of truth and love for us all. “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18).
